Family and Friends
There is no doubt that Bauer achieved great things during his Chairmanship, but none of that would have been possible without the help and support of his family. Throughout his reign, his wife Heather, along with their children, William, Maggie and Charlotte, stood by him in the toughest of times. When others attacked him, both politically and personally, his wife and children were always there to help him get back up on his feet. His children, due to his love and support, would go onto achieve great things, with both Maggie and Charlotte becoming members of the Imperial Diet, and William becoming a wildly successful businessman.
But it was also his friends who kept him going through it all. The most famous of these was his deep friendship with Erik Chamberlain. The two made an unlikely match; the leaders of two very different parties. But it was their desire to help Greater Hulstria succeed that led them to work together, and that led to a lifelong relationship. Not only would their families merge, through the marriage of Maggie and Chamberlain's son Albert, but the two men formed a lasting political alliance which continues to dominate Hulstrian politics to this day.
